David Freund - President

David Freund has been working in the green energy field since 1980. At Kelbaugh & Lee Architects, one of the leading passive solar architecture firms in the world, he drafted homes and created models. He also reported on the clean energy industry for The Solar and Renewable Energy Outlook. At Casa Blocka, Ltd., in St. Croix, Mr. Freund raised venture capital for the manufacturer of energy-efficient building materials. As an entrepreneur Mr. Freund established and ran Pleasant Valley Foods, a health food company, DSF Public Relations, a public relations firm, and The Energy Tree Group, a firm that promoted and raised capital for green energy companies.

Bruce Lawton - Chief Technologist

Mr. Lawton brings 25 years of engineering experience to W2 Energy. As an advocate for sustainable living, Mr. Lawton has focused on developing innovative solutions aimed at making alternative energy technology practical and affordable. Bruce graduated Rice University and then worked on nuclear propulsion as a Naval officer, After the Navy he managed many mechanical and electrical engineering projects. As a programmer, he participated in the Human Genome project, and also worked on the development of AOL Instant Messenger. His Thinking Home software has achieved him 3 Apple Design Awards. Because of his interest in sustainable energy over the years, Mr Lawton has applied his talents to developing unique solar technologies, including the Therm2Volt heat to electricity system.

Michael McLaren - CEO/President W2 Energy, Inc.
(Parent Company of W2 Solar)

Michael McLaren has been in the high technology industry for 20 years his past experience includes a number of Military and government projects in high-energy physics, advanced robotics and weapon design. Mr. McLaren has been with W2 Energy since its inception and prior to that was with General Cybernetics since 1998 which was a division of World Wise Technologies Inc. Mr. McLaren has a Masters Degree in Science, Masters Degree in Business from University of British Columbia.

Michael Caulton – Communications Director

Michael Caulton has worked on IT related marketing campaigns for over 10 years, and is an expert in both web and print media. His keen research ability, and knowledge of the green energy field, makes him a valuable asset to W2 Solar. He majored in business & economics at Rutgers, with a focus on environmental studies.
